as student identity card. All enrolled students and PhD students will receive such a
card at some time around the start of term.
Due to technical problems, this FAUcard -at least in the next few months- will
not work with the SIPORT card access system. This card access system is used
to lock several doors in the Computer Science Department and other buildings.
Therefore we strongly suggest not to return your old "Mensakarte" if you are
using it with the door lock system. Please also inform your students or PhD
students about this recommendation.
The access media currently in use, namely "Mensakarte" (in every color), tokens or
key pendants will continue to work with the door lock system. A migration to new access media
will be necessary only on the final switchover. It will currently not be necessary
-and for the near future also not possible- to migrate those to FAUcard.
